Man on 'stag do' wanted after staff glassed at club

Police are still on the hunt for a man who glassed staff in a Cheltenham nightclub.

Officers believe the suspect to be a man from Liverpool, who was on a stag party in the area for Cheltenham Races. The attack took place on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Home and Botanic, on St George's Road.

It is suspected that a group of around 15 men were in the club when one of the party members was ejected after violence broke out inside. While door staff were removing one of the group, another member then glassed a member of staff.

The victim was left needing 16 stitches across his face and head. Further assaults then took place and the group spilled onto the street.

Police were called and detained a group however the man who was suspected to have committed the glassing had fled the scene. Officers identified a suspect on CCTV and visited the hotel the group were staying at however they had already left.
