A cyclist was hit by a van on a busy road.
Officers were called to Druids Cross Road in Allerton today at around 7.50am to reports of a crash. When police arrived at the scene they found the crash involved a white Renault van and cyclist.
Police said the man riding the bike was being treated at the scene by paramedics. It is unclear the extent of his injuries at this time. According to traffic management system Inrix, there was heavy traffic in the area as emergency services dealt with the crash.

Pictures of the scene taken at around 9am today showed a police car behind a white van with a damaged windscreen.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "At around 7.50am this morning (Thursday, February 23) officers received a report of a collision involving a white Renault van and a cyclist on Druids Cross Road in Allerton.
"The male cyclist is currently being treated at the scene by paramedics. There are no further details as emergency services are still currently at the scene."
