Police have charged a man after footage of two people having sex in Concert Square was shared online.
Joe Firby, from Gateshead in the North East, was arrested by Northumbria Police on behalf of Merseyside police and questioned after "disturbing" videos were shared on social media. Liverpool officers have now confirmed that the 23-year-old has been charged with outraging public decency.
He will appear in Liverpool magistrates' court on Tuesday, September 20. Police have also charged Kelly Cousins, of Merton Road, Bootle.

After being charged with outraging public decency, the 35-year-old was conditionally bailed to a later date. She is also due to appear at Liverpool magistrates’ court on September 20.
Liverpool mayor Joanne Anderson condemned the behaviour seen in the video as "damaging and criminal". Merseyside Police also issued a strongly worded statement urging people "to refrain from sharing the video on social media".
