Man missing from Highland town for over a week sparks urgent police search

A man who has been missing from the Highlands for over a week has sparked an urgent police search.

Mathew Cameron James disappeared from the Maccoll Terrace area of Ballachulish at around 10pm on Friday January 13.

The 45-year-old has not been seen or heard from since, prompting officers in Lochaber to ask for the public for help as part of their ongoing efforts to trace him.

Mathew is described as being 5ft 10, heavy build with short black hair and short fascial hair. He was wearing a green overcoat, black fleece, black trousers and black Vans trainers when he vanished.

Mathew is believed to have his car with him - a black Citroen C3 Picasso, registration SR16 PZT.

Anyone who may have seen Mathew, his car or has any information whatsoever relating to his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101 quoting 3859 of 20 January, 2023.
