Man left with serious head injury after being punched to ground

A man has been left with a serious head injury after being punched to the floor in Hanham. Avon and Somerset Police say the offender, as well as a man he was with, ran from the scene after the attack last night (July 7).

It took place on High Street at around 8.30pm and the victim, a man aged in his 30s, was rushed to Southmead Hospital. The road was closed for several hours as forensic investigators examined the area.

Investigating officers are now in the process of reviewing CCTV footage from the area and have launched a public appeal for information. They are keen to hear from anyone with relevant details that may aid enquiries.
