A man was left with facial injuries after a serious assault involving a weapon while out walking in Lenzie.
A 27-year-old was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary after being 'seriously assaulted' by an armed man on Friday afternoon.
The victim was walking on Boghead Road, Lenzie, near to its junction with Cypress Court, around 12.30pm on December 30 when an 'unknown male' left a vehicle and launched the attack, while brandishing a weapon.

Detective Sergeant Gary Boyle said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information which may assist us to get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have dashcam or personal CCTV footage which could assist to contact us.”
