Man left seriously injured after pub fight - police now want to speak to this man

A man was left seriously injured after violence broke out at a pub in Tameside. Officers investigating the alleged assault have now issued images of a man they would like to speak to.

It happened at an unnamed pub on Stockport Road in Ashton-under-Lyne on the evening of Saturday, February 26. "t's believed a fight started inside the pub before spilling out onto the road" Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.

A 51 year-old man was left with serious injuries they added. In an update issued today, officers from GMP's Tameside South and West neighbourhood policing team said a "number of lines of enquiry have been followed up since the incident."

Two men have been arrested and since bailed pending further enquiries. Officers stress the investigation is ongoing and have today issued two images of a man they would like to speak to.
