A man was shot dead while sat at a set of traffic lights in Merseyside.
Paul Pike, from Belle Vale, had been driving his red Ford transit van with his girlfriend as the passenger. When he stopped at traffic lights, on Crosby Road North, Waterloo, by the Liver pub, a stolen silver Audi TT pulled up alongside him.
Shots were then fired out of the Audi, with both the van and Paul being shot multiple times. The car then drove off, before turning around and firing more shots at the 23-year-old.

Paul died from his injuries at the scene but his girlfriend managed to survive the attack, with only minor injuries. A police officer who was at the scene of the murder said that she was very lucky to have survived with minor cuts caused by flying glass.
After the shooting she ran from the van to get help and was met with a number of people who were drinking at the Liver pub at the time.
The Audi TT was later found torched in Fairfield, off Endbutt Lane, after the incident on the evening of June 5, 2010. Now, 13 years on from the shooting, his killers have still not been caught and could potentially be walking free.
Police have made several arrests in the years since the incident, a 27-year-old, 26-year-old, two 24-year-olds and a 23-year-old were all questioned in custody. But to this day no-one has been charged.
At one point in time Merseyside Police also offered a £10,000 reward in return for information leading to a conviction. Detectives have said they believe the shooting was a targeted attack.
Paul was known to police at the time of his death but no real motive for Mr Pike's murder has ever been identified. While in 2011 a man and woman from Toxteth were jailed for five years each after they were linked to a Glock handgun used to shoot Paul Pike.
The man and woman were not thought to have played any role in the shooting. In a previous appeal, detective superintendent Neil Bickley, who was leading the investigation, said he believed there would have been multiple witnesses from the nearby Liver Hotel pub and in the line of traffic behind at the lights.
He added: "We know Mr Pike had been visiting friends in the Crosby area before the attack. We are still trying to piece together exactly where he had been and for how long.
"We are looking at CCTV from the area and the background of both Mr Pike and the Audi TT." In another appeal Merseyside Police said it would "not give up until those responsible are put before the courts."
