Man jumps off building after throwing daughter

A man in his 40s jumped off a lodge at Yadagirigutta after throwing his six-year-old daughter, in an apparent suicide plan, in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district in the early hours of Friday.

Yadadri police said they recovered a note left behind by the man, identified as Cherukuri Suresh from Lingampally in Hyderabad. He was an employee at BSNL, Hyderabad. The note reportedly stated that the man was taking his daughter Sreshta along as he was worried that the mother would not take care of her. There had been differences between the man and his wife.

And preliminarily, police suspect the case to be arising out of family disputes.

It was learnt that Cherukuri Suresh’s family was at Yadagirigutta for the darshan and had checked in a lodge in the temple town on Thursday evening.

Yadadri police shifted the victims’ bodies to Bhongir Area Hospital. A probe was opened.
