A man who was found with a “large quantity” of cocaine, LSD and magic mushrooms in his car when stopped in central London has been jailed for two years.
Andrei Gherghe, 36, of Abbey Street, Newham, was sentenced at the Old Bailey after admitting possession with intent to supply.
The court heard how he was stopped by police on October 11 after they spotted him acting suspiciously on Eastcheap in the City of London.
A police dog indicated that something suspicious was behind the centre console armrest.

When police searched it, they found cocaine, magic mushrooms, LSD and MDMA, with a street value of £6,000.
The flooring of the centre console was hinged, with an electromagnetic lock which allowed the flooring to be lifted and drugs to be hidden.
Officers also found a lock knife in the car.
City of London Detective Constable Emma Martin said: “We will do everything we can to disrupt and stop drugs supply in the City of London, which cause so much harm in our communities.
“City of London Police officers will proactively target offenders and this sentencing should be a warning to those involved in drug dealing, you will be arrested, charged and sent to prison.”
In court, Gherghe also pleaded guilty to possession of an article with blade or point in a public place, possession of Class B drugs, driving without third party insurance and driving whilst disqualified.
Gherghe was sentenced to two years in prison and has been disqualified from driving for two years.
