Two people were hospitalised following a disturbance at a private address in Newcastle.
Emergency crews were in attendance at the scene of the incident on Welbeck Road in Newcastle from approximately 1.30pm on Friday. A man was found with wounds consistent with with having been caused by a bladed article, with a woman also injured.
Both individuals were transported to hospital for further treatment following the disturbance.

It is thought that the causalities were left with non-life threatening injuries. Enquiries into the incident are currently ongoing.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 4.30pm on Friday (August 12) we received a report of a disturbance inside an address on Welbeck Road, Byker.
“Officers attended and found a man and a woman had both been assaulted. They were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the incident.”
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson added: "We were called to a private address in the Byker area at 1.26pm on 12 August.
"We dispatched two ambulance crews and a specialist paramedic, and transported two patients to hospital for further treatment."
