Man injured after 'rammy breaks out' following car crash near Scots playpark

A man is in hospital after a 'rammy' broke out following a car crash near a Scots playpark.

Police raced a two-car smash on Elm Drive in Johnstone, East Renfrewshire, after receiving the alarm at 2.30pm today. On arrival, a man was found injured.

Medics rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment, where his current condition is unknown. Following police inquiries, it emerged a rammy had broken out following the collision.

Officers are looking to trace those involved in the incident to establish the full circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At 2.30pm on Thursday October 27, police received a report of a road crash involving two cars in Elm Drive, Johnstone. A disturbance broke out following the collision resulting in one man being injured.

"Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital. Enquiries are ongoing to locate the other people involved and establish the full circumstances.”
