A man has sung the praises of pizza chain Papa John's after they delivered exactly what he had ordered - even though it was nothing but a pizza base covered in BBQ sauce.
Posting on Reddit, the unnamed man explained he had placed an order on a delivery app after a night at the pub and had been craving a BBQ Meat Feast, which is supposed to feature a BBQ base topped with mozzarella cheese, bacon, ham, pepperoni, sausage, and spicy beef.
But in his drunken state, the man opened up the customisation menu and removed every single topping - including the cheese - believing he was adding them to his pizza instead.
So when the order arrived, he was stunned to find a pizza base topped with BBQ sauce and nothing else, although he had no one to blame but himself.

In his post, the man wrote: "Shoutout to Papa John's for honouring my post-pub late night order of accidentally removing every item on a BBQ meat feast, thinking I was adding them."
Alongside his BBQ flavoured dough, the man also ordered one portion of Garlic Pizza Sticks, and three Special Garlic dips - which no doubt confused Papa John's workers, as he'd removed the Special Garlic dip that comes with his pizza as standard.
Commenters on the Reddit post were quick to see the funny side in the man's order blunder, with some joking he "deserves" to face disaster for ordering a pizza with a BBQ base.
One said: "That's hilarious. Must have been a great night out at the pub."
While another wrote: "What a wally."
And a third added: "You deserve it for ordering a barbecue pizza in the first place."
There was even one poster who used to work for Papa John's and said they used to love fulfilling the weird orders that some customers would place.
They said: "Man, I loved the weird s**t people would request sometimes when I worked there. This would have confused me but would've been funny.
"One time someone requested a pizza with only green toppings on it, all of our green toppings (sauce included) which really excited our pizza maker lady. S**t came out of the oven neon green somehow."
A spokesperson for Papa John's said: “At Papa Johns, we encourage our customers to personalise their pizzas using the customisation tool, and no matter what the request - from pineapple on their pizza to a BBQ base with absolutely no toppings - we’ll always deliver.
"Although we’re not sure this one is something we’ll be adding to the main menu anytime soon…”
