Police are hunting a thug who attacked a man in Forfar leaving him with severe facial injuries.
The victim was approached by a pair of males at the weekend when one assaulted him.
The terrifying incident happened in Chapel Street at about 1.20am on Sunday morning.
It took place in a car park near the East & Old Parish Church.
A police Scotland spokesman said: “A man was approached by two other men, one of whom proceeded to assault him causing facial injuries which required hospital treatment.
“Officers would like to trace a man described as about 18 years of age, about 6ft 2 and slim build with short brown hair and facial hair, and was wearing all dark clothing at the time of the incident.”
And they added: “If you have any information that could assist our investigation, please call 101 or speak to any police officer. Also, information can be given anonymously through CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is CR/2359/22.”
