Man in hospital after serious assault in Glasgow premises

A 60-year-old man has been hospitalised in a Saturday morning attack in Glasgow, police have confirmed.

The man was seriously assaulted within a premises on Moncur Street in the city around 10.20am on Saturday, August 27,

He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Officers are now appealing for information from the public.

Detective Constable Joanna Galea, of Shettleston CID, said: “Our enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.

“We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or witnessed what happened to get in touch.

“Anyone with information should contact police via 101, quoting incident number 1229 of 27 August.”
