Man in his 40s taken to hospital after being knocked off bicycle

A man in his 40s was taken to hospital this afternoon (September 13) after being knocked off a bicycle. Police and ambulance crews were called to the junction of Melbourne Road and Oldham Road in the Balderstone area of Rochdale around 1.15pm to reports of a road traffic collision.

The rider of a bicycle, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital after the collision. Emergency services were in attendance at the incident for around an hour.

A North West Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called to RTC involving a bicycle at 13.15. The rider, a man in his 40s, has been taken to hospital."
