Man in his 30s 'raped in Earl's Court by man who was riding a bike with a food delivery bag'

Met Police want to identify this man in connection with the Earl’s Court rape investigation - (Met Police)

A police manhunt is underway after a man was allegedly raped in Earl’s Court.

A man in his 30s was in Hesper Mews, off Bramham Gardens, when another man, who was riding a bike with a food delivery bag on his back, approached him at around 12.10am on October 4.

The victim and the suspect spoke for a few minutes before he was allegedly raped.

He is being supported by specialist officers.

Detectives have released CCTV of a man they wished to trace inside a nearby shop and are urging anyone who recognises him to come forward.

The suspect left shortly after the incident, cycling out of Hesper Mews and turning left into Bramham Gardens.

He is described as being in his 20s, white, with dark hair and a distinctive large angular nose. He was wearing all-black clothing.

Police are also appealing for anyone who lives in Hesper Mews, or who was there in the early hours of Friday, October 4, to think carefully about whether they might have seen or heard anything unusual.

Anyone in the area with CCTV or doorbell cameras has also been asked to check if there is anything officers should be aware of.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or message @MetCC on X, giving the reference number 01/933502/24, or through Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
