A man has been left in a critical condition in hospital after a vicious assault saw him left with serious wounds to his head.
The shocking assault took place at a premises in Wicklow in the early hours of the morning on Tuesday, with Gardai confirming that an investigation has been launched.
As such, they have made an appeal to the public for anyone who has information or even footage of the horror moment to come forward.

Gardai were made aware of the incident at around 2.30 in the morning on Tuesday.
A call was made about a situation at a property in the Ashfield estate in Arklow in the Leinster county.
Having reached the scene, a man in his 40s was discovered with wounds to his head.
A man in his 40s was discovered with wounds to his head. He was later taken to St Vincent’s Hospital to be treated for his injuries before being later transferred to Beaumont Hospital where his condition is described by Gardai as critical.
A Garda spokesperson told the Irish Mirror: "Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area from 12:30 – 2:30am on Tuesday morning, who may have witnessed anything to come forward.
"They are particularly keen that anyone who may have camera footage from this area at this time (including dash-cam) to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
"Anyone with any information is asked to contact Arklow Garda Station on 0402 32304, the Garda Confidential Line on (1800) 666 111, or any Garda Station."
