Authorities in Northern California are actively seeking a man who allegedly stalked a group of girls leaving school in Santa Rosa on Friday afternoon. The incident, which occurred around 4:30 p.m., prompted multiple reports to the local police department.
According to witnesses, a White adult male driving a black 2008 Jeep Cherokee 4-door was seen near Lemur Street and Providence Court. The man, described as approximately 25 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, with light brown hair and beard, reportedly exhibited concerning behavior towards the girls.
Witnesses stated that the driver of the black Jeep would drive slowly alongside the girls, occasionally reversing against traffic to stay on their path. Despite not speaking to the juveniles, the man used hand gestures and played pop music associated with teenage girls in an apparent attempt to lure them.
The police described the vehicle as having body damage to the left rear quarter panel, making it identifiable. Authorities have issued a warning to parents to discuss safety measures and 'stranger danger' with their children in light of this incident.
