Man illegally tattoos child inside McDonald's branch as drivers slow down to look

A man has pleaded guilty to tattooing a child at a McDonald's restaurant, court records show.

Brandon Presha, 29, was arrested last year after police were sent a video of a minor being tattooed inside a branch of the popular fast-food chain.

A queue had been building up at the drive-thru causing a frustrated customer to peer into the restaurant.

She was shocked to see the inking taking place as the minor sat at one of the dining tables and took out her phone to record, reports The Smoking Gun.

The customer can be heard complaining that the pair in the restaurant were "out here doing tattoos instead of getting food orders out.”

After going viral the footage was sent to the police, which led to Presha's arrest.

The incident happened in the South Carolina city of Laurens.

Presha was convicted of tattooing a minor and tattooing without a license.

Although facing nine months in custody, the judge suspended the jail term in favour of 18 months on probation.

McDonald's confirmed that the suspect has never worked for the Laurens store.

At the time they said they were investigating how the incident happened.

A spokesperson said: "The conduct reported is not in line with the values of our organization or in line with our expectations for how restaurants should be run.

"We are investigating the incident and will take appropriate action to ensure that my restaurant is both a safe place for my employees to work and for my customers to enjoy."

Bizarrely it wasn't the first time that Presha had been arrested at that McDonald's.

In October 2020 he was arrested for allegedly stabbing a man during a confrontation in the bathroom.

Presha's girlfriend was working at the branch at the time.

He plead guilty to assault and battery and was sentenced to three years in jail. However, a judge suspended the sentence and instead placed Presha on probation for two years.
