Man hospitalised after double decker bus and car crash

A man was hospitalised after a city centre crash involving a car and a double decker bus.

The crash occurred at the junction of Westland Row and Pearse Street on Tuesday morning. Both the car and bus ended up facing against the flow of traffic.

Thankfully, the man's injuries were described as non life-threatening.

A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardai and emergency services attended a road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 5:40am on Westland Row in Dublin 2 today, 14th June 2023.

"Two vehicles, a bus and a car, were involved in this collision. A man (40s) was brought to St James’s Hospital for treatment of what is believed to be non life-threatening injuries."

She added: "Investigations are ongoing."
