A man has been hospitalised after a car struck a number of spectators during an event in Co Kildare.
The incident unfolded on Saturday night in Newbridge, Co Kildare during an event hosted in a carpark by the Irish Car Fleet, which saw car enthusiasts gather to admire vehicles. In footage seen by Dublin Live, one car appears to be attempting to do a burnout, a dangerous trick that involves spinning a car's wheels causing the tyres to burn up and smoke.
The vehicle in the footage is then seen swerving and appearing to strike a number of watching spectators. It is understood that one man was taken to Naas Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
