Detectives are appealing for information after a man was hospitalised following an evening assault in East Kilbride.
The incident happened outside the town's Scholar’s Gate shortly after 7pm last Sunday, April 30.
A 21-year-old man became involved in a disturbance with a group of other men which led to him being assaulted.
He was taken to Hairmyres Hospital for treatment to serious injuries and subsequently discharged.
Detective Constable Frank Donaghy told Lanarkshire Live: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing.
"We understand there were other people in the area around the time who may have witnessed this disturbance.
“We would urge anyone who may have information to get in touch.
