Man hit by lorry in Kilmarnock as emergency services race to scene

A man was hit by a lorry in Kilmarnock last week.

The pedestrian was struck during rush hour just before 5pm on Hurlford Road on Wednesday night.

Police have confirmed this week that the man sustained a minor injury and was taken to Crosshouse Hospital by ambulance.

The road was closed for several hours will investigators surveyed the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.55 pm on Wednesday, November 23, police attended a crash involving a pedestrian and a lorry on Hurlford Road in Kilmarnock.

“The male pedestrian sustained a minor injury and was taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock. The road was closed while enquiries were carried out.”
