People across Leeds have been paying tribute to a little girl who died after being hit by a car in a driveway.
West Yorkshire Police were called to an address on Coupland Road at 8.10pm on Friday night. At the scene, a 1-year-old girl had been hit by a car and she was taken to hospital where she later died.
One eyewitness said: "I just left a horrific scene on a block of new houses. A woman was wailing. I saw a man holding a lifeless child in his arms. Everybody surrounded them. When I realised what had happened it just broke my heart. Parents please take care of children. The poor darling.”

Tributes have been pouring in from across Leeds after the tragic incident. Teresa Khezri said: "R.i.p baby girl thoughts go out two family and friends at this sad time."
Dawn Sykes also wrote: "Heartbreaking rest in peace little one." Gaynor Mcauley said: "R.i.p.little one my thoughts go out to the family at this sad time."
West Yorkshire Police are continuing to investigate the scene. Their statement said: "Police were called to an address on Coupland Road, Leeds at about 8.10pm on Friday September 16 to a report a one year old child had been seriously injured in a collision with a car on a driveway.
"Emergency Services attended the scene and a small female child was taken to hospital. Sadly, the child died shortly afterwards from her injuries. Enquiries remain ongoing today by the Major Collision and Enquiry Team and specialist officers are working to support the family at what is clearly a tragic time.”
