A man has been accused of breaking Covid regulations after returning to Manchester Airport from Finland.
Darren John Lee, appeared in court in Wales today after being charged with failing to provide passenger information on the Passenger Locator form on arrival into England. The man, from Rhyl in North Wales is said to have returned to the UK following a trip to Helsinki on January 23 this year, North Wales Live reports.

Lee, of Grove Park Avenue, is charged with failing to provide passenger information on the Passenger Locator Form on arrival into England. It is said that on January 23, 2021, he allegedly arrived from Helsinki, being outside the common travel area, but failed without reasonable excuse to provide passenger information on that form.
This is said to have been contrary to the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) Regulations 2020. Lee was not in court today but the court heard he is expected to enter a not guilty plea.
Magistrates chairman David Davies adjourned the case to Wrexham Magistrates Court for another hearing in September. Passenger Locator Forms have been used by the UK in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and were designed to track and trace individuals who may have come into contact with an infected person.
They are also used to monitor self-isolation of those individuals who have been abroad and returned to the UK and who are not exempt from self-isolation measures.
As of March, passengers arriving into England no longer need to complete a passenger locator form before travelling, do not need to take a Covid-19 test before or after they arrive and don't need to quarantine - regardless if they've been vaccinated.
