A man has got a tattoo of a vagina on his cheek in a request which left a tattoo artist baffled.
Michael Ralph, 40, from Washington DC, US, has been working in the industry for 22 years and says this is the craziest request he has ever received.
He thought it was a prank when the client first asked him to tattoo a vagina on their face, but the message seemed to be genuine, so he agreed to do it.
The message read that the client wanted a semi-realistic vagina tattooed on their face, specifically on their sideburn.
The client also mentioned that they had a limited budget and wanted as much as possible to be done in one hour.
Initially, Michael thought that it was a spur-of-the-moment decision and asked the client to wait for a month to ensure that it was not an impulsive decision.
"My first thought was ‘am I reading this right?’" Michael told NeedToKnow.online.
"I read it again there was no mistake. My second thought was ‘did he lose a bet?’"
After a month, the client returned and insisted on getting the tattoo done.
Michael warned the client that he can't hide the tattoo and people will judge him for it.
He also mentioned that it may close doors of opportunity that would be open if he didn’t have a vagina tattooed on his face.
However, the client was adamant about getting it done.
Michael said: "I asked him how old he was, because in my mind if he was under 25, I might have told him he needed to wait until his brain was fully developed so there were no regrets.
"Lucky for him he was 26 and then my final question to him before we started was ‘does your mum know about this?’ And, more importantly, is she going show up at the shop because she wants to kill me for ruining her baby’s face?"
The tattoo artist went ahead and tattooed the vagina on the client's cheek, near the ear.
Michael shared the result on Instagram, where it went viral and received mixed reactions.
Some viewers appreciated the artistry of the tattoo, while others found it to be a sad joke and "true clown behaviour".
