A man was found with serious injuries after a disturbance on Ayr High Street at the weekend.
The man, 32, was rushed to hospital after being discovered by officers.
Cops raced out to the High Street shortly after 1am on Sunday morning due to a disturbance.
The man was then taken to Ayr Hospital for treatment.
Police say enquiries are ongoing following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.05 am on Sunday, January 22, officers were called to a report of a disturbance on High Street in Ayr.
"A 32-year-old man was found with serious injuries nearby and was taken to Ayr hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing.”
