A man has been left critically ill in hospital following an assault in Belfast city centre on Sunday morning.
The victim, believed to be aged 35-40, was found on Castle Street by police at around 8am.
He was then taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries and police said he remains critically ill.

PSNI Inspector Lowry described the victim as having "short dark hair and dark facial hair, of medium build and tall in height".
He said the man was dressed in a "dark coloured hooded coat, navy jeans, a red and black short sleeved top, and brown shoes with a white sole".
Police have appealed for anyone who was in the Castle Street area between 7 and 8am on Sunday and who may have witnessed anything suspicious to contact them.
