Man found with neck wounds in Harehills street in Leeds as police called to disturbance

A man was found with neck wounds following a disturbance in Harehills last night.

The incident took place on Bexley Terrace at around 11pm on Friday. The victim, in his thirties, was taken to hospital although it is not believed his injuries are life-threatening.

Crime scene investigators are currently on the scene and an adjacent section of Harehills Road is currently closed for police to continue their inquiries.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Leeds District CID on 101, or by using the LiveChat facility on the West Yorkshire Police website.

Callers should quote crime reference 13220386350. Information can also be passed on anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or online.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 11.09pm yesterday (Friday), police received reports of a disturbance in Bexley Terrace, Leeds.

"Officers attended and found a male in his thirties with wounds to his neck. He was taken to hospital for further treatment to his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

"A scene is in place today for forensic examination and Harehills Road is currently closed to allow for enquiries into the incident to continue."
