The death of a man whose body was found in the greenhouse of a Melbourne school is no longer being treated as suspicious.
The man's body was found in the grounds of Lyndale Secondary College in Dandenong North about 7am on Monday, sparking a homicide investigation.
Homicide Squad Detective Inspector Dean Thomas initially said the death was suspicious due to the man's injuries, with police looking for weapons.
A staff member who found the man's body was receiving support.
Police later said a post-mortem was conducted on Monday afternoon and the man's death was no longer being treated as suspicious.
The man was described as being of African descent and probably in his 20s or 30s.
Police did not believe he was connected to the school.
The high school remained open for classes on Monday, with students kept away from the scene.
"Full support is available to any students and staff affected by this incident," a Department of Education spokesman said.
Year 12 students across Victoria are scheduled to complete their VCE English exam on Tuesday.
