A man who was found dead on a main road has been named locally.
Merseyside Police confirmed officers were called to Pilch Lane just after 4am on Sunday, March 26, after the body of a man was found. A white tent was put up near to the roundabout with East Prescot Road.
Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed. Merseyside Police said his death is not believed to be suspicious and a file is being prepared for the corner.

Following the news, people were quick to pay tribute to Kevin Breen. Laura Emmett wrote: "RIP Uncle Kevin."

Police said in a statement: "We can confirm that emergency services were called to Pilch Lane, Huyton, just after 4am this morning (Sunday, 26 March 2023) after the body of a man was found.
"Emergency services attended and he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s next of kin have been informed and the death is not believed to be suspicious. A file is being prepared for the coroner."
