A huge emergency services response swarmed to a country park after the body of a man was found.
Police officers and paramedics from North West Ambulance Service were called to Pennington Flash Country Park, Wigan, at around 10am on Sunday, December 11. Officers responded to reports of concern for the welfare on a man.
The man was confirmed dead at the scene. At this time no further details have been released about him. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

The Manchester Evening News reported that locals said two pathways through the woodland were cordoned off by police. Pictures from Sunday morning showed a number of police and ambulance vehicles in the car park on Plank Lane.
A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 10am on Sunday 11 December GMP were called to reports of concern for welfare of a man at Pennington Flash Country Park, Wigan. Officers attended but sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene. There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death."
