This is the terrifying moment a man is seen casually jumping across the rooftop of a New York high-rise.
The mysterious daredevil, who is smartly dressed, was caught on video by Emmy Award-winning film director Erik Ljung strolling across rooftop windows on Tuesday.
He is seen talking on the phone and casually jumping on the awning of the 115-year-old 90 West St. building rooftop windows.
In the video, which has gone viral, one man be overheard saying: “Usually it’s like a teenage kid that does s*** like this."
Whilst another responds: “Yeah, but it’s an older dude wearing a suit."
The risk-taker eventually finishes his phone call and starts to leap across more rooftops with slopes.
Seemingly unfazed by the huge 23-storey buildings and the potential fall, the man is seen jumping between each building with remarkable ease.
Any misplaced footing and the man would fall to his death from the high-rise buildings, but he continues safely before crawling through an open window.
Erik, who caught the man jumping from his office meeting, was flooded with questions from confused social media users who were all wondering what the man was doing.
He wrote: “I have no idea what dude was doing. He was already hopping around from awning to awning when we first saw him.”
The film director explained how he caught the man jumping from the different buildings.
He said: "(I) have no idea what was going on here. This morning the security in the building I'm working out of said it was being shared all over their Slack channel, however they also don't have a clue what was going on."
Eyewitnesses are heard voicing their concern for the man's safety as they discuss why he would jump so perilously on one of the tallest skyscrapers in the city.
One eyewitness questioned if the daredevil was a security guard with a lust for danger.
However, Twitter users took to social media to speculate why the man would take such a risk.
One person joked: "The new James Bond or Tom Cruise?" another added: "Was it more efficient to get to where he needed that way or navigate through the office? Late to a meeting?"
Some commentators speculated the man was simply locked out the roof and that's how he ended up back in as the window was open.
They said: "It looks like he was locked out on the roof, called someone in that room, and they opened the window for him. The only possibility otherwise why would you jump that high up?"
But one eyewitness simply summed up the shocking video with the caption: “New York City, baby.”
