Man fighting for life after being attacked by gang outside Bootle Strand

A man is fighting for his life following an attack in Bootle.

Police cordoned an area around Bootle Strand shopping centre after reports of an assault at 1.15am on Tuesday, July 12. A man was taken to hospital by emergency services.

A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "We can confirm that officers are currently on Stanley Road in Bootle following reports of an assault in the area. At around 1.15am in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 12 July, officers were called to a report of an assault on the road.

"A man was taken to hospital in a critical condition after reports that he was assaulted by a group of youths in the area. A scene is currently in place on Stanley Road whilst officers remain in the area."

First look inside state-of-the-art new hydrogen buses coming to Liverpool City Region

CGI visual images have been released showing the interior of Liverpool City Region's new, zero-emission hydrogen bus fleet.

The buses are expected to be more comfortable and larger for passengers. The interior of the bus will also be decorated with some of the most iconic landmarks in the Liverpool City Region.

Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Liverpool City Region said: “I’ve got bold ambitions for the future of our region’s bus network and where better to start than bringing the fleet into the 21 st century?! We’ve made a major investment and I think it really shows; they look great."

Coleen Rooney's verdict on moving to America ahead of Wayne's new career move

Coleen Rooney shared her thoughts on a potential America move.

Wayne Rooney has agreed to return to DC United as the club's new head coach. The former Everton FC striker first joined the Major League Soccer side in 2018.

There were rumours that Coleen and their four children would remain in the UK for her husband's US move. However, Coleen took to Twitter to address the rumours.
