A motorbike rider is fighting for his life after crashing with a bus on a main road.
Merseyside Police were called to Rainhill Road in St Helens at around 8.50am on Monday, October 17, following reports of a crash. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a bus and motorbike had crashed and requested help from the North West Ambulance Service.
The motorbike rider, a man in his 30s, was seriously injured and taken to hospital by ambulance. Police have described his injuries as life threatening.

The bus driver stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "Rainhill Road is closed while emergency services attend the incident. We ask that drivers avoid the area and find an alternative route. We thank you for your patience as we deal with this incident.
"We are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV and dash camera footage which may assist the investigation."
