Man fatally stabbed in neck at west London home named by police

A man found stabbed to death at a home in a quiet west London street has been named by the Metropolitan Police.

Jason Thompson, 54, suffered a knife wound to the neck inside the property on Melina Close, Hayes at 4.33am on Tuesday.

Despite the efforts of paramedics and the emergency services, he died at the scene.

Scotland Yard said: “Mr Thompson’s next of kin have been notified and are being supported by specialist officers.”

Adejuwon Olufemi Alexander Jnr Oyekan, 30, also of Melina Close, has been charged with murder.

Oyekan appeared in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court where he was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday.

Detective Inspector Adam Guttridge, of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family.”
