Man faces attempted murder and firearms charges after incident left teen injured

A Stirling man has been accused of attempted murder following an incident at a city property.

Forty-eight-year-old Darren Crossley also faces a charge under the Firearms Act 1968.

A 17-year-old had been rushed to hospital on the evening of Thursday, May 6.

Stirling’s Douglas Street was closed to traffic for four days as police carried out enquiries.

Crossley appeared at Stirling Sheriff Court on Monday.

He faces a charge of assault to severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder – as well as a charge under section 16 of the Firearms Act 1968.

Crossley, whose address was given as Stirling, made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
