A man has discovered a disturbing painting while out house hunting leaving social media users baffled.
Dan Ilic, a filmmaker and podcast host, came across a bizarre sketch of retired Australian politician Christopher Pyne covered in tattoos and holding a baseball bat while standing in an alleyway.
The ex-defence minister, dressed in a tank top and jeans, can also be seen sporting an unsettling grin in the drawing.
Mr Ilic posted an image of the property on Twitter, accompanied by the words: "House hunting - something strange about this place - I can't quite put my finger on it."
He then tweeted two further images zooming in on the menacing painting,
Several social media users made the same quip, with one posting: "Is that a painting of Christopher Pyne? No wonder he had the nickname 'the fixer'."
Another wrote: "Fixer upper", while a third added: "Brings a whole new light on his 'I'm a fixer, I fix things' line."
Others feigned ignorance to the prominently placed drawing, writing: "It has a windowless basement doesn't it?"
One person questioned: "An empty fruit bowl?" and another commented: "It's the TV outside, right?"
A fourth added: "I didn't even notice that. I was too focused on the weird choice of conference chairs for a dining room."
Marty Steel, based in Brisbane, is thought to be the portrait artist responsible for the painting.
He shared an image of the drawing, titled 'The Fixer', to Instagram in 2019, writing: "Christopher Maurice Pyne joined the Menzies Mob as a teenager.
"The fixer, as he became known, quickly rose to the rank of Sargent at Arms where he remains to this day."
Mr Pyne himself previously commented on the post, saying: "It's a remarkable likeness!"
The ex-education minister, who self-styled himself as 'The Fixer' throughout his 26-year political career, went viral for the infamous line following an interview on Sky News.
Speaking on solving the government's higher education reforms, he told the broadcaster: "I've done it. I'm a fixer. I fixed it by funding it another way which you'll find out in the Budget."
He later added: "I've cleared it away. I've fixed it."
Mr Pyne even featured in a Star Wars parody shown on ABC in 2015, where his head was superimposed onto the body of an imperial officer and words from his interview were used in the scene.
He did not directly comment on the video at the time, but tweeted that he was "available for Star Wars VII if JJ Abrams wants to know".
