A man in his 60s has died with COVID-19 at Royal Darwin Hospital, health authorities have confirmed, as the NT reported a slight decrease in daily case numbers.
In a statement, NT Health said the man, from East Arnhem, died on April 19 and had "underlying health conditions".
The territory has today announced 525 new cases of COVID-19, 418 of which came from positive rapid antigen tests (RATs).
It's a slight dip from the 543 new cases reported on Friday.
Of today's new cases, 373 were in the Top End, 52 in Central Australia, 10 in East Arnhem, 12 in the Big Rivers region, 10 in the Barkly and 68 were still under investigation.
There are now 47 patients in hospital with COVID-19, one more than the number hospitalised on Friday.
Six of the NT's coronavirus patients now require oxygen and two patients are in intensive care.
The number of active cases in the NT is 3,416.
The total number of COVID-19 related deaths recorded in the NT since the start of the pandemic is 40.
