A 50-year-old man has died in a work accident at a transport company in the Perth suburb of Bibra Lake, prompting an investigation by WorkSafe WA.
In a statement the safety watchdog said the death occurred on Tuesday afternoon, with investigators responding to an incident at the premises of transport and logistics company Matic Transport.
WorkSafe WA Commissioner Darren Kavanagh said any work-related death was a tragedy and he relayed his sincere condolences to the man's family and fellow workers.
"WorkSafe investigators examine the circumstances of incidents with a view to ensuring compliance and preventing future incidents of a similar nature," the agency said in a statement.
