Man dies in hospital after shooting on farmland in Dublin

A man in his 30s has died in hospital after a shooting on farmland in Dublin.

The victim, named locally as Keith Conlon, 36, from Kiltalown Park was shot following a confrontation in Hazel Grove, Tallaght, South Dublin on Tuesday afternoon.

Mr Conlon died in Tallaght University Hospital this afternoon

A garda spokesman said: "A man, 50s, is still being questioned at Tallaght Garda Station.

"His period of detention was extended for another 24 hours by a District Court judge this afternoon."

“Gardai are appealing for anyone with information who may have been the Hazel Grove area of Tallaght to come forward.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Tallaght Garda Station on 01 666 6000.”
