A man has died following a fatal collision between a car and truck on the N21 at Rathkeale this afternoon.
Gardai rushed to the scene at around 3:30 pm on Tuesday, February 28 where the male driver of the car was fatally injured.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, while no other injuries were reported in connection with the crash.

Gardai have advised road users that the route remains closed with local diversions in place as Forensic Collision Investigators examine the scene.
Gardaí are now appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward with whatever information they may have.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling on the N21 in the Rathkeale area between 3:00 pm and 3:40 pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.

A statement released this evening read: “Gardaí are currently at the scene of a fatal road traffic collision involving a truck and a car that occurred at approximately 3:30 pm on Tuesday 28th February 2023 on the N21 at Rathkeale, County Limerick.
“The male driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries to persons were reported.
“The road is currently closed with local diversions in place. Forensic Collision Investigators are currently examining the scene”.
