A scaffolder left paralysed after a trampoline accident has tragically died in the arms of his loved ones.
Rob Harcourt sustained "catastrophic" injuries after he tripped and fell into a trampoline at a friend’s house. The freak accident led to the 37-year-old from Stockton, Durham in the UK suffering a dislocated neck and kinked spinal cord.
He had to go undergo major surgery after doctors found fluid in his brain but, despite the efforts of medics, his family were informed that he would not recover.

Rob, described as a "massive joker" and someone who was "clever, funny and kind", was transferred to a hospice where his family remained at his side, reports Teesside Live.
He has since passed away in the arms of his mum, Jackie Greaves, and partner, Jade Higgins.
In a touching tribute, Jackie wrote on Facebook : "My clever, funny, kind and beautiful son Rob has passed away in mine and Jade's arms.
"Jimmy was with us too, holding his hand. Heartbroken doesn't touch how we are feeling right now."
Rob had been placed in an intensive care unit after being admitted to James Cook University Hospital.
After being taken off sedation, Rob was able to move his eyes but tragically was unable to wake up.
Hundreds of people have shown their support for the scaffolder, who took on extra work to help his family during the cost-of-living crisis.
Over £9,000 has been raised for a GoFundMe page set up by Rob's friends Alan and Amanda Jones to support his partner and family.
Writing an update after Rob's move to the hospice, Amanda said: "We continue to fundraise for Rob, his memory and his mum and partner so please continue to donate and share.
"We are hugely and forever grateful for the donations so far…we started with a £1,000 target and now we are aiming for £10k."
Friends also took to social media to pay tribute to the "lovely lad".
Although Alan and Amanda never met Rob in person as they live in Wales, they felt they needed to do something following the news.
Previously, Amanda had said: "Considering we started off with a target of £1,000, I've just kept upping it and upping it, so that's going really well.
"Because of the GoFundMe and the generosity of everybody, Jade has been able to focus on what she needs to do to get through each day."
