A MAN has been found dead after a fire broke out at a flat in Perth.
Emergency services were called to the property on St Catherine’s Road at around 5.15am on Sunday after receiving a report of a fire.
Police Scotland said they discovered the man within the property and that he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The force confirmed the man’s next of kin have been made aware.
The investigation into the blaze in ongoing as officers said the fire is being treated as unexplained.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.15am on Sunday, March 2, 2025, police received a report of a fire at a flat on St Catherine’s Road, Perth.
“Emergency services attended and a man was found within the property. He was pronounced dead at the scene and next of kin are aware.
“The fire is being treated as unexplained and a joint investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing.”
