Man dies following Paisley car crash after emergency services rush to the scene

A man has died after a car crash in Paisley earlier this morning, December 28. Emergency services sped to the incident after receiving reports of collision on Old Sneddon Street at around 6.15am.

Police taped off the area as a number of emergency vehicles attended the scene of the one vehicle crash.

The 59-year-old was rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital by ambulance, writes the Daily Record.

Despite their best efforts to save the man's life he sadly passed away. Enquiries into the incident are currently ongoing.

The road has now reopened to traffic.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.15am on Wednesday, 28 December, police were called to a report of a road crash involving one car on Old Sneddon Street, Paisley.

“The 59-year-old driver was taken by Ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

“Enquiries are ongoing into the cause of the crash.”
