Man dies at Scots home after being found injured as forensic cops set up tent outside

A man has died after being found injured at a Scots home.

Emergency services raced to Thorndean Avenue in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, after the alarm was raised at 11.30pm on Wednesday, May 18.

The 56-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Images show the area taped off as officers guard the address.

A forensic police tent has also been erected at the side of the home.

Cops have launched a probe into the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.

Officers say enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a 56-year-old man who was found injured at a property in Thorndean Avenue, Bellshill, around 11.30pm on Wednesday, 19 May, 2022.

"Emergency services attended and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are at an early stage."
