Man dies at Scots Aldi store as cops called in to probe 'unexplained' death

A man has died after falling ill at a Scottish supermarket. The 33-year-old passed away at the Aldi in Glasgow's Anniesland area on Friday evening.

Emergency services were called to the scene just after 7pm on Friday, June 16, 2023. Police officers and paramedics attended the store, which is in the area's Knightscliffe Avenue, after being alerted to the incident.

The car park was cordoned off as officers investigated. Police do not believe there were any suspicious circumstances but are unaware what caused his death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.10pm, police received a report a 33-year-old man had died in Knightscliffe Avenue, Glasgow. The death is being treated as unexplained, however there are no suspicious circumstances."
