Man dies as police probe 'unexplained' death in Highlands

AN INVESTIGATION has been launched following the unexplained death of a man near a bridge in Moray.

Officers were called to an area around Craigellachie Bridge near Aberlour at around 4:45pm on Sunday following the sudden death of a man.

The police have confirmed they are treating the death as unexplained, although it is not thought to be suspicious.

Officers also said a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 4.45pm on Sunday officers were called to the Craigellachie area following the sudden death of a man.

“The death is being treated as unexplained but there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
