A man has died and another has been taken to hospital with injuries following an incident in Glasgow.
Officers rushed to Auchinloch Street in Springburn at around 5.25am on Friday April 14 following reports of concern for two men.
Tragically one man was pronounced dead at the scene by medics and another was rushed to hospital for treatment. His condition is currently unknown.
Locals report of being woken by officers and forensics teams who sealed off the street and told residents to stay in their homes.
A number of roads have been closed to allow police to conduct their enquires with drivers asked to avoid the area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of concern for two men on Auchinloch Street, Glasgow, around 5.25am on Friday, 14 April, 2023.
“One man was pronounced dead at the scene and one man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary Hospital for treatment. Enquiries ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“A number of road closures are in place, including Springburn Road, Turner Road, Petershill Road and Laverockhall Street. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.”
